Terms of Service

Last updated August 2026

The rules, written to be read rather than skipped.

Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using Collabbo you agree to these terms. If you are using Collabbo on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who can join

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep access to your sign-in email secure and tell us if you lose it.

Your work stays yours

You keep every right you already hold in the material you upload — scripts, pages, manuscripts, recordings, stems, artwork, footage, and everything else. Nothing you post transfers ownership to Collabbo.

You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your material, to display it to the people you have chosen to show it to, and to make the technical copies and formats needed to deliver it. That permission ends when you remove the material or close your account, apart from copies already made by people you shared with and copies held in routine backups.

Rights you must have before you post

  • You may only upload music, audio, video, images, and text that you created or that you have permission to use.
  • Do not upload commercial recordings, samples, footage, fonts, or artwork you do not have a licence for.
  • If a piece of work has co-writers, co-owners, or a label, publisher, or studio involved, make sure you are allowed to share it before you do.
  • Do not post another person’s private material, contact details, or likeness without their consent.

How to behave here

  • Represent your credits, releases, and representation honestly.
  • No harassment, threats, hate, or sexual content involving anyone under 18.
  • No spam, mass unsolicited pitching, scraping, or automated collection of member information.
  • No requests for upfront fees, investment, or payment in exchange for consideration of someone’s work.
  • No attempts to break, overload, or work around the security of the site.
  • No impersonation of another member, company, or representative.

Private passports and confidentiality

When a member grants you access to a private project passport or sends you material through a private read request, treat it as confidential. Do not forward it, publish it, or use it for your own project. Read requests are a courtesy Collabbo extends on the strength of that expectation.

Ideas, formats, and themes are not protected by copyright on their own. Collabbo provides the tools and the record of who saw what and when; it cannot guarantee that a similar project will never exist elsewhere.

Introductions, deals, and money

Collabbo introduces people. It is not an agent, a manager, a producer, a publisher, a label, an employer, an escrow service, or a party to any agreement you reach with another member. We take no commission on work that comes out of it.

Any contract, option, split, advance, fee, or credit is between you and the other people involved. Get your own legal and financial advice before you sign anything. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or investment advice.

Verification and the marketplace

A verification badge means Collabbo checked identity and at least one claimed piece of work against a documented source, as described on the verification standards page. It is not an endorsement, a guarantee of quality, and it is never sold.

Marketplace listings for gear, spaces, and services are created by members. We do not inspect equipment or premises, and we do not guarantee availability, condition, insurance, or price. Check what you are hiring and who you are hiring it from.

Moderation and ending access

Members can block, unfollow, and report. Reports are read by a person. We may remove content, limit features, remove a verification badge, or close an account where these terms are broken — and we will tell you why unless doing so would put someone at risk.

You can close your account at any time. Some content may remain visible to people you shared it with, and we may keep records we are required to keep.

The service as it is

Collabbo is offered as it is and as it becomes available. Features are added, changed, and occasionally removed. We do not promise uninterrupted access, and we cannot promise that a file you upload here is your only copy — keep your own backups of anything that matters.

Limits of responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Collabbo is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost data arising from your use of the site or from your dealings with other members. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You are responsible for what you post, and you agree to cover us for claims that arise from material you had no right to share.

Changes to these terms

We will post any change here and, where it materially affects you, tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Collabbo after that means you accept the updated terms.
