Privacy Policy

The short version

Collabbo is a place to show work and meet collaborators. To do that we store the account details you give us, the profile you build, and the things you choose to post. We do not sell member information, we do not run behavioural advertising, and we do not share your private project materials with anyone you have not approved.

What we collect

• Account details: the email address you sign in with, and the display name and handle you choose.
• Profile information: your role, location, links, and anything you add to your About Me section — birthplace, relationship status, work, education, hobbies, interests, teams, other social pages, and contact details. Every one of these fields is optional.
• Content you publish: posts, comments, reactions, reels, audio tracks, images, project passports, marketplace listings, and messages you send.
• Files you upload: images, video, and music files, stored so they can be served back to the people you shared them with.
• Verification material: the sources you submit when you ask to be verified, and the outcome of that review.
• Basic usage data: page views, approximate region, device and browser type, and error reports, used to keep the site working and to count traffic.

How it is used

• To run your account, sign you in, and keep your session secure.
• To show your profile and posts to the people you have chosen to show them to.
• To match your work with members whose experience fits your ask.
• To review verification requests and to investigate reports of misrepresentation or abuse.
• To send you service email — sign-in codes, security notices, and notifications you have turned on.
• To understand which parts of the site are useful and to fix what is broken.

Who can see what

Your display name, handle, role, and anything you mark public on your profile can be seen by anyone visiting the site. Posts you publish to the community feed are visible to members and may be visible publicly.

Project materials in a private passport, private read requests, and direct messages are visible only to you and the people you approve. Blocking a member removes their access to your profile and posts.

Verification reviewers see the sources you submit. Reports you file are read by the people who handle moderation.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site: hosting and database infrastructure, file storage for your uploads, and an email delivery service for sign-in codes and notifications. They process information only to provide those services to us.

We will disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect members from serious harm. We do not sell member information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary for the site to function: keeping you signed in, remembering your display preferences, and protecting against abuse. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Account and profile information is kept while your account is open. Content you publish stays until you remove it. If you close your account we remove your profile and your published content within a reasonable period, keeping only what we must keep for security, legal, or accounting reasons.

Your controls

• Edit or clear any profile or About Me field at any time from your profile page.
• Manage your own posts — edit visibility or remove them — from the manage posts view on your profile.
• Block or unfollow any member, and report a profile or post for review.
• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.
• Turn notification email off while keeping essential security email on.

Legal rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your information, to receive it in a portable form, and to complain to a data protection authority. Write to us and we will help you exercise them.

Age

Collabbo is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, tell us and we will remove it.

Security

Access to member information is limited to the people who need it to run Collabbo, transfers are encrypted, and sign-in uses one-time codes rather than stored passwords. No service can promise perfect security, so tell us straight away if you think your account has been reached by someone else.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so on the site and, where the change is significant, by email. The date below shows the current version.
